Kim Kardashian plans to take fiance Kris Humphries’ last name after they marry this summer, TMZ reported Wednesday.

A source close to the reality TV star said Kardashian will “for sure” use her husband’s family name in the future despite mother Kris not thinking it’s such a good idea.

Yesterday Kim was caught by the paparazzi out to lunch at La Scala in Beverly Hills. She looks really cute! Check out the pics in the gallery.

Kim Kardashian’s stunning 20.5-carat engagement ring is obviously big. It’s so big, in fact, that husband-to-be Kris Humphries was able to include several inscriptions on the inside of the sparkler. “It’s engraved, with two things from the Bible,” Humphries tells PEOPLE. “There’s one verse [Proverbs 31: 10-31] about the perfect godly woman,” he explains. “The other, [1 John 3:18] is about love. It took me … a few days to pick them out and research the perfect ones.” In the middle of the two passages is a third inscription, “K [hearts] K,” standing, of course, for Kris and Kim.

Despite rumors that Kris Humphries didn’t pay for Kim Kardashian’s ring and the coincidence that she sported a nearly identical ring in 2009 when she was dating Reggie Bush, an insider tells OK! that Kris did pick out the ring and pay for it entirely.

Kim has been a big fan and supporter of designer Lorraine Schwartz, a friend of the Kardashian family, and knew exactly the style of jewelry Kim preferred.

Lorraine has also designed jewelry for Angelina Jolie, Barbra Streisand, Elizabeth Taylor, Beyoncé and Heidi Klum.

“Anybody who knows Kim knows how much she’s always wanted a beautiful diamond ring,” a friend of Kim tells OK!. “In Kris’ mind, Kim is just a very classic Hollywood beautiful girl. He sees her that way.”

Kim Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, seems a little worried about losing out on the empire she has created if Kim chooses to change her last name.

Jenner has recently commented that Kim should stay a Kardashian even after she marries Kris Humphries, states Hollyscoop.

“I don’t think she should take his name and be Kim Humphries. I think she needs to be Kim Kardashian because she’s worked so hard to get where she is,” Jenner said.

Kim and Kris were spotted going on a speed boat out to a yacht in Monaco over the weekend.

With Kim Kardashian and fiancé Kris Humphries due to head down the aisle, her sister Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick say that Humphries brings out the best in Kim.

“He fits in [with the family] already. I think they’re just themselves, and I think that’s the most important thing,” Kourtney, 32, told PEOPLE at Disick’s 28th birthday party at Las Vegas’s Gallery Nightclub over the weekend.

“Kim is totally herself in front of him,” she added. “Everything is easy, comfortable, no stress.”

Kris: I told my parents [William and Debra]. And I went golfing with Bruce [Jenner, Kim's stepfather] to ask his permission. It took me until the last hole to muster up the courage. I also talked to Kris [Jenner, Kim's mother]. She was really excited. She cried.
